Position Description
Performs general laborer duties such as laying asphalt materials as well as chip & seal, sealcoat and other asphalt-related products.
Responsibilities
- Experienced with shovel and other hand tools
- Experience with hand-held equipment (leaf blower)
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work well with team
- Work with minimum supervision
Requirements
- 1 year experience in construction labor
- Able to pass a pre-screen drug test
- Reliable transportation to and from Charlotte shop location
Position Description
Drive lowboy truck with equipment trailer to various job sites, load and haul material, assist crews as needed.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading equipment in a safe manner
- Pulling, loading and unloading equipment trailer
- Practicing good, safe driving skills in all operating conditions, following all vehicular safety regulations
- Keeping the truck clean and fueled daily
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submitting required paperwork
- Ability to navigate to job sites and material sources in a timely manner
- May perform non-driving, general labor duties on a regular basis
Requirements
- At least 3 years lowboy truck experience
- CDL Class A license
- Good driving record and insurable by vehicle insurance company
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Position Description
The Deputy Safety Manager will work in conjunction with the safety manager and will be exposed to a wide variety of construction, OSHA and DOT safety management system aspects. The deputy manager will establish and conduct weekly safety meetings with all site supervisors/foremen and help apply/instill the safety program/policies to the employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining all OSHA documents ( OSHA 300 log, MSDS book)
- Assist in reporting all jobsite accidents and incident investigations (insurance paperwork, contact authorities, etc.)
- Assist with project specific orientations
- Send copy of Monthly Safety Performance Form to Operations Managers
- Conducts safety audits on assigned projects collaborates and communicates with a wide variety of internal and external clients with the safety manager
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience conducting S&H training, regulatory compliance knowledge, OSHA 10 and 30 helpful
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills
Position Description
Drive dump truck with or without equipment trailer to various job sites, load and haul material, assist crews as needed.
Responsibilities
- Hauling aggregate, asphalt, milling, dirt and/or stone to and from job sites, etc.
- Loading and unloading equipment in a safe manner
- Practicing good, safe driving skills in all operating conditions, following all vehicular safety regulations
- Keeping the truck clean and fueled daily
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submitting required paperwork
- Ability to navigate to job sites and material sources in a timely manner

Position Description
The Traffic Control Supervisor involves various manual tasks. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic using the appropriate signs
- Communicate with flaggers regarding traffic on the job site
- Work to ensure the safety of pedestrians and material drivers going to and from the job
- Work varying shifts that may include nights and weekends
Requirements
- Valid North Carolina Certified Traffic Control Supervisor card (SCTCS) and/or North Carolina Traffic Control Technician (NCTCT)
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to apply common sense understand to carry out detailed written and oral instruction
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
- Good driving record and insurable by vehicle insurance company
